We operate out of No 390 near the Uthukottai Palace area in Thiruvallur district. It’s a bit of a trek for some people to get out here, but it is where we have our space. The building has been around for a long time and it feels solid. Around here, things move a bit slower than in the middle of a big city, which is actually kind of nice. We spend most of our mornings checking the inventory and seeing what needs to be moved out. Being near the palace means people sometimes ask for directions when they get lost. Our office is simple, just some chairs and a big table where we sort through the paperwork. There is a lot of dust that comes in from the road, so we are always cleaning the desks. We handle the export side of things, dealing with local products and getting them ready for long trips. It’s mostly just us and a few local workers who help with the heavy lifting and loading. We don’t have any big signs or flashing lights outside. It’s just a regular place where we do our business every day. Sometimes the rain makes the road a bit muddy, but we manage to get the trucks in and out anyway. It is a quiet kind of life out here in Thiruvallur, just focusing on the boxes and the schedules day after day.
