Siemens Ltd

Our office is located at Number 28 on Main Street in Ulaganathapuram, right in the Ennore area of Chennai. It’s an industrial part of the city, so there’s always a lot of heavy trucks and noise from the nearby plants. Our building is a bit older, with some chips in the paint and a heavy metal door. Inside, we have our desks set up for Siemens Ltd. It gets really hot in Chennai, so the fan is always running at full speed. We do a lot of logistical work here, keeping track of shipments and making sure the engineers have what they need. It’s not a glamorous job. We spend a lot of time looking at spreadsheets or talking to people at the port. There’s a small tea stall just down the street where we go for breaks. We know the other shop owners on Main Street pretty well. We aren't a big corporate team with suits; we mostly wear half-sleeve shirts and sandals because of the weather. The office is often a bit messy with delivery receipts and empty chai cups, but that’s because we are actually busy. We don't try to sound like we are some big-shot executives. We are just local workers trying to stay on top of the daily grind. It’s a tough environment sometimes with the heat and the dust, but we’ve been here long enough to call it home. We just try to stay honest and work hard.
