Our place is at 387, Sidco Industrial Estate in Ambattur. It is an industrial area, so there are factories and warehouses all around us. We deal with ceramics, mostly tiles and related materials. The space we have is more like a warehouse than a shop. We have stacks of crates and boxes everywhere. It is a very dusty environment because of the ceramic materials, so we wear old clothes to work. We have been operating from this estate for several years now. Most of our customers are builders or people who are doing big construction projects. They come here because they know we have the stock they need. We do not have a showroom with pretty lights and displays. If you want to see something, we usually have to pull a sample out of a crate. It is hard work because everything is heavy. We have a few guys who help with the loading and unloading of trucks. The office part is just a small room with a desk and some chairs where we handle the paperwork. Ambattur is a busy place and the power goes out sometimes, which can be a real pain. We just carry on with what we have to do. We do not do any fancy advertising or have a big website. People just know where we are. It is a practical business and we like it that way. We just keep moving the crates and filling the orders.
