Savitha Return Gifts

Down here in Valasaravakkam, things stay pretty busy with all the families living around here. Savitha Return Gifts is located in Alwarthirunagar, right where you’d expect a local shop to be. We deal with a lot of parents looking for stuff to give out at birthday parties or weddings. It’s a lot of small items like plastic bowls, bags, and little toys that kids enjoy. The shelves are packed tight, and sometimes things fall off if you’re not careful while browsing. I started this because I liked organizing things, but now it’s mostly just trying to keep track of the inventory in the ledger. The space isn’t very big, so we use every inch of the walls for display. It gets a bit hot in the summer months since the shop faces the afternoon sun. We usually have the radio playing in the background to pass the time. People come in with their kids, and it gets a bit chaotic with everyone picking things up and moving them around. We try to keep the prices fair since we know how expensive parties get these days. I do the billing myself on an old calculator that sometimes sticks. It’s a simple operation. We don’t have a fancy display window, just some samples hung up by the door. If you live in Valasaravakkam, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times already. We are just here every day.
