Our office for Reliance Logistics Pvt Ltd is tucked away in Villivakkam on Kaveri Street. It is a busy little area in Chennai. Most mornings start with the sound of scooters zooming past outside the window and the smell of breakfast from the shops nearby. We spend our time checking on where the trucks are and filling out forms that seem to never end. The office is in 29A/10 and it is basically a ground floor space with a few desks shoved together. We don't have a receptionist or any of that stuff. If someone walks in, whoever is closest to the door just looks up and says hello. Rajaji Nagar is a decent place to work because you can get good food just a short walk away. Sometimes the humidity makes everything feel a bit sticky, but we have a small AC unit that does its best. We have a lot of files stacked up in the back because we still like having things on paper just in case the computer acts up. It gets pretty loud when everyone is on the phone at the same time. We are just a bunch of people who know how to move things from one place to another without making a big fuss about it. We have some old calendars on the wall and a dusty clock that is five minutes fast. That is just how we like to keep things running around here in Chennai. It is a practical way to spend the day.
