Rajarajeswari Engineering College is located over in Adayalampattu, which sits right between Vanagaram and Maduravoyal. If you know that part of the city, you know it can get quite congested with all the lorries and commuters moving through. Our campus is a familiar sight for anyone living in these neighborhoods. The buildings are large and have that weathered look that comes from years of Chennai sun and rain. We don't put much stock in looking fancy or having a sleek, modern facade. The focus here is on the everyday reality of running a college. The classrooms are filled with rows of wooden desks, and the chalkboards have seen better days, but they do the job. During the lunch break, the local tea stalls and small eateries nearby get really crowded with our students. It’s a lively scene, even if it is a bit chaotic at times. The walk from the main road can be a bit dusty, especially during the dry months when the wind blows across the open patches of land nearby. We just keep the gates open and the schedules moving along as they should. It isn't a place of luxury, but it is a place where a lot of activity happens every single day. Most of us who work here are used to the heat and the noise of the nearby highway. It is just a normal, busy institution trying to manage its daily routine in a crowded part of town.
