We are based at number 37 in Varadarajapuram, which is in the Nazarathpet area of Poonamallee. Our place is mostly a large yard where we keep the cranes and equipment we handle. Palfinger is a brand known all over, but this specific spot in Chennai is run by a local crew who knows the local conditions. We spend a lot of time outdoors, even when the heat is really intense. The cranes are big machines, so they need a lot of space for testing and maintenance. We have a workshop on-site where we do repairs and show customers how to operate the controls. It’s a hands-on job and we often end the day with dirt under our fingernails. We don't have a fancy corporate lobby or anything like that. There’s a small office building for the files and the computer, but the real work happens outside. The road near Nazarathpet is always full of heavy traffic, which actually suits us since we deal with transport and lifting. We have a few guys who have been here since the day we opened this branch. We don’t use a lot of business jargon. If someone needs a crane for a construction project or a shipping yard, we talk to them about the specs and the lifting capacity in plain English. We’re just a practical team trying to keep the equipment moving and our customers happy without making things more complicated than they need to be.
