Oriental Pneumatics

We are situated at No. 199 on M. T. H. Road, right in the same building as the State Bank of India in Padi. It’s a convenient landmark because everyone knows where the bank is. Our shop is full of pneumatic parts—things like air compressors, valves, and all sorts of brass fittings. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze inside because we have shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling. We've been here for years, and the walls are a bit stained from the oil and the dust that comes off the road. M. T. H. Road is always loud with traffic, so there’s a constant hum of buses and horns outside our door. We spend a lot of time helping people find the right size of hose or a specific connector that they can't find elsewhere. It’s greasy work, and our hands are usually a bit dirty from handling the metal parts. We don't have a website that we update or anything like that; we just prefer it when people come in and show us what they need. Sometimes we test the air lines, and there’s a loud hiss that startles people walking by. We have a small bench where we can sit and talk about what's wrong with a customer's machine. It’s a simple setup. We open up early and stay until the sun goes down. It’s just how we run things in Padi.
