Meenu Gifts

Our shop, Meenu Gifts, is at No. 13/64 on Melandamada Veethi in Thirumazhisai. It’s a small place on a street that gets quite busy during the festival seasons. We have all sorts of things on the shelves, from small toys to decorative items for the home. People come here when they need something for a birthday or a family gathering. We try to keep a variety of stuff so there is something for everyone, even if they only have a little bit of money to spend. The shop can get a bit crowded with boxes sometimes because we don't have much storage space in the back. We spend a lot of time dusting the shelves and rearranging the items so people can see them better. Thirumazhisai is a place where everyone knows everyone, so we chat a lot with the customers who come in. It’s not just about selling things; it’s about being part of the local street. We’ve had the shop for a while and we know which things people like the most. Sometimes kids come in just to look at the toys, and that’s fine with us. We aren't a big department store. It’s just a simple gift shop on Melandamada Veethi. When the sun goes down, the street lights come on and the shop looks a bit different in that light. We stay open a little later during the wedding season because that's when people have time to shop. It’s a lot of standing around, but we’re used to it.
