Maharishi International Residential School

Our place is located out at 4, Santhavelur, which is near Sunguvar Chathiram in Sriperumbudur. It’s a bit of a trek from the main city, but the space we have here makes up for it. Maharishi International Residential School has been around for some time, and the buildings have that lived-in look. You can hear the kids playing outside during the breaks, which is usually the loudest part of our day. We have dorms and classrooms all spread out on the grounds. The grass needs cutting pretty often because of the rain, so there’s usually someone out there with a mower. Living and working in the same spot means things never really stop. It’s a big campus, so sometimes it takes a minute to walk from one end to the other. We get a lot of dust from the road nearby, but we try to keep the classrooms tidy. The staff stays in the local area or right here on-site. It isn't a glossy, high-tech setup, just a regular school where people live and learn together. We have some old trees that provide decent shade during the hotter months. People usually find us by looking for the turn-off near Sriperumbudur. It’s a quiet life out here for the most part, away from all the traffic and noise. We just focus on the daily routine and making sure everyone has what they need for the week.
