Landmark Landscapes

If you walk down Reddy Street near the Villivakkam Bus Terminus, you’ll find our place at number 34. Landmark Landscapes is where we keep all our gear and talk about plants and dirt. It’s not a fancy showroom. It’s more of a workspace where we figure out how to make a backyard look decent. Being so close to the bus terminus means there’s always people moving around outside, which is nice. We started this because we liked working outside more than sitting behind a computer all day. Most mornings start with us loading up the truck and checking if we have enough shovels and bags of mulch. We work with a lot of local residents in Villivakkam who just want a bit of green in their space without it being too much trouble to look after. Sometimes a project is just planting a few trees, and other times we’re moving around big rocks to make a path. It gets hot out there, and our clothes usually have some dirt on them by noon. We don’t have a receptionist or a big waiting room. If we aren't at the office, we’re probably out at a site digging or checking on how some shrubs are growing. It is honest work and we’ve been doing it for a good bit now. We know which plants actually survive the heat around here, which helps. It is a simple business run by people who don't mind getting their hands messy.
