Jayem Machinery

Our shop is over on M T H Road in Padi, right across from the big Britannia factory. If you smell biscuits in the air, you know you are close to Jayem Machinery. We have been at No 815/6 for quite some time now. Most of our day is spent around heavy equipment and metal parts. It is a noisy stretch of road with all the traffic, but we are used to it. Inside the workshop, things are a bit cluttered with tools and half-finished jobs, but we know where everything is. We work on all kinds of machines, mostly fixing things or putting together parts for local factories. It is greasy work and we usually end the day covered in shop grime. There is a small office area where we keep the ledger and take calls, but most of the action happens on the floor. Sometimes customers drop by with a part that broke and we see if we can weld it or replace it. We don't have a big marketing budget or a website that looks like a magazine. We just have our tools and the experience of working on this road for years. When the afternoon sun hits the front of the shop, it gets pretty warm, so we usually take a short break for some water or chai. It is a simple life of fixing things that need fixing and making sure the machines keep running.
