Our factory and office for Food Ingredient Specialities Pvt Ltd are located out on the Vanagaram-Ambattur Road. It is a bit of a mouthful of an address, especially since the numbers changed from Old No. 1 to 90. We are in the Ayanambakkam area. It gets quite busy around here with all the trucks and people moving about. We have been working with food ingredients for quite some time at this location. The building is pretty large because it houses both the office and the production side. It smells like all sorts of things depending on what we are processing that day. Sometimes it is sweet, sometimes it is more savory. The staff mostly comes from the surrounding villages and towns. We have got a lot of people who have been with us for ten or twenty years. It is a hardworking environment. We do not have fancy carpets or glass walls. It is mostly concrete and steel, built for work. The road outside can be a bit bumpy, but it gets us where we need to go. We keep the machines running and the paperwork filed. It is a lot of coordination between the factory floor and the desks upstairs. We take our lunches together usually. It is a good group of people. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure everything is packed up properly before the sun goes down. It is a busy life, but it keeps us out of trouble and helps us support our families.
