We have been at No 67 in the Sidco Industrial Estate for quite some time now. It is a busy place, always noisy with the sounds of machines and trucks moving in and out of the estate. Our shop floor stays pretty hot because of the work we do, but that is just how it is in this line of business. People around here know us as Chennai Forge Products Pvt Ltd. We mostly handle metal parts, shaping them under the heavy hammers and making sure everything is measured right before it goes out the door. It is hard work, mostly dirty and loud, but we have a solid group of guys who have been with us for years. They know the machines inside out. We don’t have any fancy offices or shiny reception areas. If you come by, you will likely find us on the floor checking the pieces or talking to the driver about a delivery. Sometimes things get backed up when a machine acts up, but we usually figure it out and get back to work quickly. We just keep our heads down and focus on what needs doing today. The industrial estate gets a bit crowded during the afternoons, so parking is always a bit of a headache. Still, being here works for us. We just make the parts, pack them up, and send them where they need to go. That’s pretty much the daily routine here at the estate.
