Down at No:- 85 in the Melnallathur Post area, you will find our Caterpillar India Pvt. Ltd. site. It is a bit of a drive out here, but that is where we have the space to handle the kind of things we do. There is a lot of dust and the sound of heavy engines is pretty much a constant thing during the day. We have a lot of people from the local villages working with us and they are the ones who really keep the place running. It is not like those clean offices you see in the movies. Here, you are going to get some dirt on your shoes and probably some grease on your hands if you stay long enough. We just focus on getting the machines ready and making sure everything is bolted down correctly. The work is repetitive sometimes, but it is important for the stuff that gets built all over the country. We don't have time for a lot of meetings or corporate speeches. Usually, we just have a quick chat in the morning and then everyone goes to their stations. It is a very practical environment and nobody is too worried about looking perfect. We just want to get through the production schedule without any major issues and then head home to our families at the end of the shift.
