Our building is out in the Sidco Industrial Estate (Np) at Pattaravakkam. We are specifically on Plot 25, right along A 2 Dairy Plant Road. It’s a big industrial area in Ambattur, so there are always trucks moving and people working in the nearby units. Carbone Lorraine India Pvt. Ltd. is just one of those units. We’ve got a decent amount of space here, which is necessary for what we do. It’s not a glamorous spot. It’s an industrial shed with plenty of room for our equipment and materials. We spend our days mostly on our feet, keeping an eye on the different processes. The heat in Ambattur can be quite something in the summer, but we’ve got fans going and we just get on with it. We don’t really have a lot of visitors unless they are here for a specific reason. It’s a working environment, plain and simple. No one is sitting around in fancy offices here. We are usually covered in a bit of grit by the end of the shift. The road outside can get a bit bumpy with all the heavy traffic, but that’s just life in an industrial estate. We’ve been operating from this plot for a while and we know the rhythms of the neighborhood. The morning starts early before it gets too hot, and we just work through the tasks we have lined up. It’s a practical way to earn a living and we don't think about it much more than that.
