Our office is tucked away on Subash Street in Villivakkam. If you’re coming by train, we are just behind the Villivakkam Railway Station, which makes it easy to find us once you get off the platform. We are in the Rajaji Nagar area, and it’s a typical residential neighborhood with narrow streets and kids playing outside. We do a lot of work for people who are building their first home or maybe adding a floor to an old one. It’s mostly about getting the blueprints right and making sure the construction matches what was planned. We don’t have any fancy receptionists or a shiny lobby. It’s just us, some desks, and a lot of sketches. You can hear the trains passing by every few minutes, which has just become part of the background noise for us now. We spend our mornings looking at maps and our afternoons usually involve going to different sites to check on the brickwork or the roofing. It’s practical work. We deal with the local guys and the homeowners directly. There’s no big corporate hierarchy here. If something isn't working on the plan, we just sit down and redraw it until it makes sense for the space available. It’s a lot of checking and re-checking. We’ve been in this spot for a while and the locals know where to find us when they need a plan drawn up or just want to ask about a wall.
