Amirtha Ice Creams

Our place is called Amirtha Ice Creams and we are located at 70, Poonamalle High Road in Manavalanagar. Being on the high road means there is always noise from the trucks and cars passing by. It never really gets quiet here until very late at night when the traffic dies down. The shop is a simple room with our freezers lined up against the wall. We spend our mornings checking the stock and making sure the lids are closed tight. In Manavalanagar, people like to stop in when they are traveling through the area. We see a lot of people who are just passing by on their way to somewhere else. But we also have the regulars who live just down the street. We don’t have any big advertisements or flashy lights out front. Most people find us because they see the address or they've been here before. It stays pretty cool inside the shop because of the machines. Sometimes we just sit on the stools and wait for the afternoon rush to start. It gets dusty because of the road, so we are always wiping down the counters with a cloth. We aren't doing anything complicated here. We just sell ice cream out of this little spot at number 70. It’s been here for a bit and we plan to stay. We just keep the door open and wait for whoever comes by. That’s just life here.
