You can find us over at 35A & B1 in the Ambattur Industrial Estate. This area of Chennai is always buzzing with activity, and our spot is right in the middle of it. We deal with thermal technology, but that mostly means we spend our time surrounded by heat exchangers and cooling components. The workshop is set up to handle a lot of technical work, though it looks like any other busy factory floor once you get inside. We have various stations where different parts of the assembly happen. It is often loud because of the ventilation systems and the tools we use. My shirt usually has a few stains by noon, and the tea guy knows exactly when to show up with the hot glasses. We don't really do much in the way of decorating the place. The focus is always on the benches and the equipment. Sometimes the humidity in Chennai makes the work feel a bit slower, but we keep pushing through the schedule. Most of the staff has been here long enough to know where every single wrench is kept. We talk to each other in short bursts because there is always something that needs to be moved or checked. It is a straightforward way to earn a living, and we are glad to have a steady rhythm to our weeks here in Ambattur.
