My office is located at No 70, on the 1st Main Road in Senthil Nagar. If you know Kolathur, you know it’s a place that’s constantly growing. I’ve been working as an architect here for quite some time now. It’s mostly just me and a couple of helpers when things get busy. The office is small but it has everything I need. I’ve got my old drawing board, though I use the computer more these days. There are stacks of blueprints in the corners that I really should organize one day. People from the neighborhood drop in to ask about building a new floor or fixing up an old house. I like the variety. One day I’m looking at a small shop design, and the next it’s a family home. I don't go for anything too flashy. I just want to make sure the buildings are solid and the space is used well. Kolathur has its own rhythm, and I’ve become part of it. I usually start early before the traffic on the Main Road gets too loud. It gives me some quiet time to think about designs. I don't have a receptionist, so if the phone rings, I’m the one picking it up. It’s a simple way to work, but it keeps me close to the projects. I’ve lived and worked around here long enough to know what people need.
