Astrid Exports

Our place is located at 12/117 A in Kuttoor, right here in Thiruvalla. It's a bit of a mouthful of an address, Nedumtharamalayil Puthenpurackal, but the locals know the area well enough. We've been doing export work from this spot for a while. It started out small and stayed that way, which is how we like it. Most days involve checking on orders and seeing what needs to be sent out next. We handle various products, mostly things we can source reliably from around here. It isn’t fancy. We have a desk, some chairs, and a lot of ledgers. Working from Thiruvalla is quiet compared to the big cities, but we get our work done just the same. Sometimes we have to wait on the post or the couriers to show up, but that’s just how it goes here. We know most of our neighbors. When a shipment comes in, things can get a little crowded in the workspace, but we manage. My cousin helps out sometimes when things get extra busy. It’s straightforward work. We don't spend much time on fancy talk or decorating. The focus is always on the boxes and the destinations. People ask what we do, and we just say we move things around. It’s been our way of life for some years now. Living and working in the same general area makes things a lot easier. We just take it day by day and hope the weather stays clear for the transport.
