Gaiety Fashion is right here at Sf No. 268 in Nethaji Nagar. It’s a busy spot in Karumarampalayam and we’ve been around for a bit now. People around here know where we are because it’s a familiar street. It isn’t some massive factory, just a place where we get the clothes ready and handle things day by day. Most mornings start with unlocking the front and checking what needs to go out. The traffic in Karumarampalayam can get a little much in the evenings, but it stays steady during the day. We’ve got our regular way of doing things. It’s not fancy. There’s a lot of cutting and checking fabrics. The light in the workspace is okay, could be better maybe, but we make it work. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and that’s the highlight of the afternoon. We stay pretty focused on the fashion side of things but without all the noise you see in big cities. It’s just us working through the piles of orders. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we really have to. Most of the time is spent on the floor or dealing with the machines. It’s noisy sometimes but you get used to it. The walls are a bit plain, but we have some samples hanging up. Nethaji Nagar has a lot of small shops like ours, so we fit right in. That’s pretty much how it goes every week. We try to keep it simple and just get the work done.
