If you head over to 15 Velampalayam, you’ll find Sree Sakthi Chemicals. It’s an industrial sort of area, so it’s not exactly a quiet place to work. Drums and equipment are scattered around the space, and there’s always the smell of whatever we’re mixing that day. It’s a hands-on kind of business. Nobody here spends much time in suits or behind big mahogany desks. Most of the crew is out on the floor or checking the stock. Velampalayam is a place where people know the value of a hard day's work. Since starting small, we have just kept at it, year after year. The yard can get a bit dusty when the trucks come in to pick up orders, but that’s just part of the trade. Sometimes the machinery acts up, or the weather makes things difficult, but we manage to get the batches done. There isn't a fancy reception area here. If you come by, you’ll probably find us busy with the actual production. It’s a straightforward setup. Our focus stays on the chemicals and making sure the containers are sealed right. There’s no need for big words or polished stories about what we do. We just make the products and send them out to whoever needs them. It’s a bit noisy and greasy sometimes, but it’s how we make our living. Being part of this 15 Velampalayam landscape for so long feels right. It’s not much, but it’s ours and we know the area well enough to keep things moving.
