You can find us right at No.149 on Uthukuli Main Road, which is basically right across from the Kongu Nagar Railway Gate bus stop. It is a very busy spot because of the buses stopping every few minutes and the trains passing by. Being near the B.S. Sundaram Road intersection means there is always a lot of traffic and people waiting around for their ride. Our shop is where we keep all the fire safety gear, like red extinguishers, rolls of hose, and those heavy glass boxes for fire alarms. It is a bit loud with the railway gate bells ringing nearby, but it makes it easy for customers to find us without a map. We spend a lot of our time loading equipment onto small trucks or helping people who walk in from the bus stop asking about basic safety stuff for their small shops. The space inside is mostly filled with metal racks of cylinders and rolls of heavy canvas hose. We have a small desk near the front door where we handle the billing and talk to the regulars who come by. It is not a polished place, just a practical shop with concrete floors and some old ceiling fans. We have been at this location for a while, and the neighbors at the other shops around the gate are like family to us. Sometimes the trains cause a bit of a delay for our delivery vans, but we just work around the schedule of the gate opening and closing. It is just the way it goes.
