R R K Alloys

Our workshop, R R K Alloys, is at number 62 in Kuppaiyappam Palayam, right near the post office. It is a handy landmark because everyone knows where the post office is. We work with different kinds of metals and alloys here. The shop gets pretty hot when the furnaces are going, and the sound of metal hitting metal is something you just get used to after a week or two. It is not the cleanest job in the world, but it is what we know how to do. We started out with just a couple of machines and a small space, but we have filled up number 62 pretty well now. We are just a group of local guys who understand how metal behaves. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If you want to talk to us, you just walk in and find someone who isn't wearing a mask at that moment. We deal with all sorts of orders, some big and some just small bits for local repairs. Every day is a bit different depending on what people bring in or what they need us to melt down. Kuppaiyappam Palayam is a quiet enough place except for when we are busy. We have stayed here because it is home and it makes sense for the business. We don't feel the need to move to a big industrial park when this spot works just fine for what we do. It is practical and it keeps us going.
