About Nakshatra Handcrafted Terracotta Jewellery – Fashion & Trends in Tirupur
Our place is tucked away at 4/440 Saranam Ayyapa Nagar in the Vaikkalmeedu area. If you know Nallur, you probably know the Ayyapa Nagar stretch. We spend most of our time working with the clay and getting our hands dirty. It’s a quiet spot for the most part, though you can hear the local traffic from the main road sometimes. The tables are always covered in bits of terracotta and small tools we use for shaping the pieces. It’s not a big factory or anything like that. Just a workspace where we sit and get things done. Sometimes the weather makes the clay dry too fast, and we have to be careful about that. We have racks lined up with finished items and some that are still waiting to be painted. Usually, someone is in the back making tea or checking on the kiln. It gets a bit warm in the afternoons, especially when we are busy. We don’t have a big fancy sign, but people find us eventually. We have been in Muthanampalayam for a bit now and got used to the pace here. It’s nice being a bit away from the main city noise. The neighbors are mostly families who have lived here for generations. We just keep our heads down and keep making jewelry every day. It’s a lot of sitting and focusing on small details, which can be tiring on the eyes after a few hours of work. We try to keep the place tidy but clay dust gets everywhere no matter what we do. It’s just part of the job we do here in Nallur.
