Meru Impex Pvt Ltd is located in Tirupur, which most people know is a big hub for clothes and fabric. We are at Murungakadu Thottam in the Samudipuram area. It is a bit away from the very center of the city, near Gandhinagar. Our building is at 13/115. We deal with the import and export side of things, mostly related to the textile industry here. The office is right where the action is. You can see trucks moving in and out of the area all day long. We have a small staff who handles the documentation and the checking of the cloth before it goes out. It is a very practical environment. There is always the smell of new fabric in the air. We don't have a website with fancy photos or anything. We just work with the local mills and the buyers who come to Tirupur looking for good deals. The work is steady but it requires us to be careful with the quality and the numbers. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a shipment for a container. We have some basic furniture and a couple of computers that have seen better days. It is a no-nonsense type of place. Most of our neighbors are also in the same line of work, so we all know how it goes. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing.
