Yes Knits

Yes Knits is located at 32, Thiru Nagar, right off Mangalam Road in Tirupur. If you know anything about Tirupur, you know it’s the heart of the knitting world in this part of India. Our place is a bit tucked away, but we’ve been here long enough that people know the spot. The building is filled with the sound of knitting machines and sewing stations. It can get pretty humid, especially when we’re busy with a big order, but the overhead fans keep things moving. We spend our days surrounded by rolls of fabric and bags of yarn. The floor is always covered in loose threads and scraps of cotton. It’s a working environment, not a corporate office. We have a small desk near the front where we handle the orders and talk to the suppliers. Mangalam Road is usually busy with scooters and trucks, so there’s a constant hum of traffic outside our door. We’ve got a small team of workers who have been with us for a long time. We start our work early to avoid the worst of the afternoon heat. There’s a small tea shop around the corner where we usually go for a break. It’s a lot of repetitive work, watching the needles and checking the seams, but it’s what we do. We don't have a fancy sign, just the address on the wall. It's just a regular, hardworking shop in a busy industrial town.
