Idumban Knitters

You can find Idumban Knitters over at Sf No. 440 in SBI Colony. It is a quiet enough area compared to some of the bigger industrial zones in Tirupur, which we appreciate. Being near Gandhi Nagar Post makes things easy for mail and getting things shipped out. We are not a massive factory with thousands of workers. Instead, we are a smaller setup where everyone knows each other’s names. We mostly handle knitting work. The space inside is filled with yarn and finished pieces waiting to be moved. It is not always the neatest place, especially when we have a big deadline coming up, but we manage. We do not put much stock in fancy titles or big office chairs. Most of our time is spent on the floor making sure the machines are behaving. Sometimes they break down, and we have to spend half the morning fixing a motor or untangling some thread. That is just part of the life here. We do not have a big sign outside or anything like that. People who need to find us usually know where we are. We just focus on the basics and try to be honest about what we can do. It is a simple operation, run by people who have been in the textile game for a long time. We do not have much to brag about, just that we show up and do the work every day. It keeps us going through the months.
