Alpha Technologies is on the first floor of building 575/371, right across from the Nilgiri Bakery. If you are standing at the Pushpa Theatre bus stop, you can see our windows clearly. The best part about being here is the smell of fresh bread that drifts up every single morning. It makes staying focused on tech work a little difficult when you are hungry. Our office isn't very big, mostly just some sturdy desks and a lot of shelving for parts and equipment we use every day. We ended up here a few years back because the location was easy for people to find after getting off the bus. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep, so mind your step if you are carrying anything heavy. We handle a lot of different technology tasks, mostly troubleshooting things that stop working for no clear reason. It gets busy during the middle of the week, and the phone rings more than we’d like sometimes. Usually, we just keep our heads down and work through the pile of tickets on the desk. There’s a small balcony where we keep some plants that are struggling a bit, but they add some color to the place. We don’t have a big reception area or anything like that, just a bench where you can sit while we finish up. It’s a practical space for practical work. We try to keep it simple and get things done.
