Wallaw Apparels

Wallaw Apparels is located at 6 Sri Gowri House on 23 Railway Freder Road. It is an old house that we have turned into a workspace for making clothes. You can hear the trains passing by quite often since the tracks are so close, and the whole floor vibrates a little bit when the heavy ones go through. We have different rooms for cutting and sewing. It’s not like those big factories you see on TV; it’s much smaller and more crowded. We have fabric rolls leaning against the walls and stacks of finished shirts waiting to be picked up. The lighting isn't the best, so we use desk lamps to see what we are doing. Our team is small, just a few local folks who know how to handle a needle and thread. We don't spend money on fancy signs or marketing. People mostly find us through word of mouth or by seeing us on Railway Freder Road. There is a small porch at Sri Gowri House where we sit for a few minutes in the morning before we start. It's a quiet routine, mostly. We just keep our heads down and work on the orders as they come in. Sometimes we stay late when there is a big pile of work, but usually, we close up as soon as the sun goes down.
