Raja Knitwear Industries

Raja Knitwear Industries is located at No. 6 Vittal Nagar. It’s more of a workshop than an office. You can usually hear the sound of the machines from the street before you even walk through the door. It’s a steady, rhythmic noise that we’ve all grown very fond of over the years. We work with a lot of wool and yarn, so the air usually has a bit of lint floating around, and our sweaters always seem to have stray threads on them. The space is filled with knitting machines and big tables where we inspect the finished pieces. It’s not the quietest place to work, but it feels productive. Most of the staff here have been working these machines for a long time, so they know exactly how to fix them when something goes wrong. We don’t have a fancy showroom. If you want to see what we’re making, you just walk into the back where the work is happening. Vittal Nagar is a decent area for a business like ours, and we have good relationships with the other workshops nearby. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just making sure the knitwear we produce is solid and holds together well. It’s a lot of long hours, especially when the weather starts to get cold and everyone wants sweaters at once. We just take it one batch at a time and try to keep the machines running smoothly throughout the day.
