We are located at 650/1 on Palladam Road, right opposite the Vigneswara Petrol Bunk. It is a handy spot because everyone knows where the petrol bunk is. The main thing you notice when you walk in is the sound of the embroidery machines. They make a rhythmic thumping noise that you can hear even from the road. We have rows of these machines going most of the day. There are threads of every color you can imagine hanging on the walls and sitting in bins. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty from all the fabric bits, so we have to sweep a lot. The workers here have been with us for a long time and they can spot a skipped stitch from across the room. We don't have a big reception area, just a small space where we look at the designs and talk about the colors. People bring their fabric to us and we figure out how to make the patterns work. The traffic on Palladam Road can be quite heavy, especially in the evenings, so it gets a bit noisy. We stay open pretty late to make sure everything gets finished on time. It is a bit of a messy job with all the loose threads, but it is honest work. We just stay focused on the machines and the fabric in front of us at our Veerapandi shop.
