Vee Pee Textile Mills

Our mill is located at 156/1 near the Laxmicard Clothing Company in Palladam. It’s a bit of a drive out to Vp Garden in the Kn Puram area, but it’s where all the textile work happens. Vee Pee Textile Mills is basically a big shed where we have our machines running most of the time. The sound of the looms is something you get used to after a few days. We have a small garden area nearby which is a nice break from all the dust inside. It’s a very practical setup. We don't have any fancy offices, just a small cabin where we keep the ledgers. Most of our day is spent making sure the yarn is right and the machines aren't jamming. It gets pretty hot in Palladam, especially in the afternoons, so we try to get the heavy work done early. The staff mostly comes from the nearby villages. We’ve been here for a while and the locals know us. We just produce the fabric and send it off to the garment makers. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. There’s always a lot of lint in the air and the smell of raw cotton. We just keep the production going and try to stay on schedule. It’s a quiet life out here compared to the big cities, and we prefer it that way.
