Rex Garments

Rex Garments is located in Kadherpet, right in the AS Tower at shop number three. If you know Vanjipalayam, you know this whole area is basically the heart of the clothing work around here. Our shop is one of those places where you’ll always hear the sound of something happening, whether it’s fabric being moved or people discussing orders. It’s not a huge place, just a regular shop floor packed with garments and materials. We spend most of our time looking at samples and making sure the pieces are packed up correctly. The AS Tower stays pretty busy throughout the day with people coming and going. We’ve been in this spot for a bit now, and we’ve gotten used to the fast pace of the market. Sometimes the narrow lanes make it hard for trucks to get close, so we end up hauling bags quite a distance. It's hard work, especially when the orders are big. We don’t have a fancy office or anything like that. Just some desks and a lot of racks. The lighting isn't always the best, but we know where everything is. We just focus on getting the clothes out to the shops that need them. Our staff is mostly locals who have been doing this for years. We aren't trying to do anything revolutionary, just keeping up with the daily demand for garments. It’s a simple life, mostly involving a lot of thread and cloth.
