Balaji Knit Fashions

We are over at number 54 on 72nd Street. It’s in Sri Venkateswara Nagarvalayankadu South. This place is pretty much dedicated to the knitting business. We do a lot of garment work here. The street can be hard to find because the numbers are a bit confusing sometimes. It is a basic workshop setup. We have the cutting tables and the sewing stations all in one main room. It stays pretty busy from Monday to Saturday. My cousin helps me manage the workers and the supplies. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. If someone wants to see what we make they just come to the workshop. It’s a bit of a trek to get here if you aren't from this side of town. The area is full of similar small businesses so there is a lot of dust and movement. We just keep our heads down and do the work. The building is nothing special, just a concrete structure where we keep the machines. We’ve been here for a few years and the routine is always the same. We wake up, open the shutters, and start the machines. It’s just how we earn a living. The floor is stained with oil from the equipment and the walls could use a new coat of paint. But we are more worried about finishing the stitch work than how the walls look. We just try to get everything shipped out before Sunday rolls around.
