United Knits International

United Knits International is based at No. 20 F/ 3 on Karuparayan Kovil Street. We are near Ttp Mill Road in the Anupparpalayam Pudur area. It is a bit of a busy neighborhood with a lot of small businesses like ours. We mostly do knitting work here. There are cones of yarn in every color you can think of stacked up on shelves and on the floor. It is a bit of a maze to walk through. We have several large knitting machines that take up most of the room. They are quite loud, so it is hard to have a conversation when they are all running at once. We have been in this spot for quite some time. The building is nothing special to look at, just a regular workplace. The power cuts out sometimes, which stops everything in its tracks, but we just wait it out. We don't have a big team, just some local folks and family members. We don't use any fancy sales tactics or corporate language. We just make the garments and send them to the people who ordered them. It is a straightforward way to make a living. The floor is usually covered in bits of lint and thread, no matter how much we sweep. We just keep the machines oiled and stay busy with the work at hand.
