Prince Apparel Exports Pvt. Ltd. is located over at No. 34 in Nethaji Apparel Park. This part of New Tirupur is always buzzing with people making clothes. We’re right in the middle of it at Eettiveerampalayam. It’s a big park and sometimes it’s a bit of a walk to get from one side to the other. Our building is pretty plain. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of sewing machines and people talking over the noise. We’ve been working here long enough that we know most of the neighbors. Dealing with exports means we have to stay on top of things, but it’s mostly just routine work. We have piles of shirts and trousers everywhere at any given time. Some days are faster than others. When there's a big deadline, everyone stays late and we order in some food. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We try to keep things organized, though with so much fabric coming in, it gets messy fast. The heat in Tirupur can be tough in the afternoons, but the fans keep the air moving a bit. We don’t spend much time on fancy websites or marketing stuff. We just focus on the sewing and the packing. If you come by, you’ll probably see us loading a truck or checking some samples. It’s just a normal day at the park for us and we just want to get through the work pile before the sun goes down.
