Thirumala Fashions

We've been here at Kadherpet for a while now. The shop is at M.K.B. Manjil on Kariya Gounder Street. It's not a big fancy place, just Shop No. 7a/4. Most days it’s pretty busy with people coming in and out. We deal with clothes and fashion stuff. Sometimes the street gets a bit crowded. It is what it is. My family helps out mostly. We started Thirumala Fashions because we needed something to do and we knew a bit about fabrics. The building is easy to find if you know the area. People stop by after work usually. We keep things simple. If you're walking down Kariya Gounder Street, you'll see us there. It’s mostly just us handling the daily tasks, folding things, and talking to whoever walks in. We don't have a big team or anything like that. Just some local folks working. The space isn't huge but we make it work. We've seen a lot of changes in the neighborhood over the years. Kadherpet has a specific vibe to it. It’s noisy sometimes but we like it. We focus on getting things done. There's always a lot of dust from the street so we spend a lot of time cleaning the counters. It's just a regular local business. Nothing too complicated about it. We stay open pretty late most nights. Most of our neighbors have been here as long as we have, so it feels like a little community.
