M. S. Karthikeyan Garment

Our workshop for M. S. Karthikeyan Garment is over at Poombukar Nagar. If you know the Thennampalayam Extension area, we are located right at S. F. No. 753. It is a decent sized space for what we do here. We mainly focus on making different kinds of garments for the trade. The morning starts early here, usually around seven or eight. I am often the first one to open up the heavy shutters. It is nice and quiet for about ten minutes before the rest of the crew arrives. We have a lot of sewing machines and they take up most of the room. It gets a bit crowded when we have a lot of fabric rolls delivered at once. We have been at this specific address for a few years now. The area has changed quite a bit with new buildings coming up around us. Sometimes the traffic near the extension makes it hard for the delivery trucks to get in. We just deal with it as it comes. It is not a big corporate setup, just us working on shirts and pants mostly. We do not have a fancy website or a marketing team. If someone needs clothes made, they come and talk to us directly. We show them what we have been working on and we go from there. It is honest work. Sometimes the thread tangles or a needle breaks and we have to stop everything to fix things. It is just the daily life of a garment shop.
