Jayaganapathy Apparels

We’ve been running Jayaganapathy Apparels for a while now over at Poombukar East Street in Thennampalayam. It's a busy spot, especially with the extension work always going on nearby. Mostly we just focus on getting the garments finished on time. The machines make a lot of noise throughout the day, but that is how it goes when you are trying to keep up with orders. We have a small group of people working here, mostly folks from the local area who know their way around a sewing machine. Sometimes the heat gets to be a bit much in the afternoon, but we open the shutters and keep going. Usually, there are stacks of fabric everywhere, so it gets a bit crowded. It is not a big fancy place, just a regular workshop where we do the cutting and stitching. We try to be careful with the measurements because nobody wants to waste good cloth. It takes a lot of patience to get the seams straight and the buttons on right. If you walk down the street, you can usually hear us working before you see the sign. It’s hard work, and some days are longer than others depending on when the truck is coming to pick everything up. We just stick to what we know, which is making clothes that people can actually wear. Nothing too complicated about it. We’ve stayed at this same address for years and people around here know us well enough by now. We just try to keep the machines running.
