You can find Fresh In Fashions Company over at No. 4-B 2 Street in the Thennampalayam Colony area. It's a pretty standard neighborhood, nothing too flashy. Our building is a simple concrete structure that stays relatively cool even when the sun is beating down on the colony. We’ve got a couple of rooms filled with racks and a whole lot of cardboard boxes that seem to multiply when we aren't looking. The street outside is usually quiet, except for the occasional vegetable vendor or kids playing after school. We try to keep things organized, but when we’re in the middle of a big production run, there are threads and fabric scraps everywhere. It’s just a part of the job. Most of the people working here have lived in Thennampalayam their whole lives, so we all know each other’s business and families. We don't spend money on fancy marketing or big ads; we just rely on the work we do every day. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit muddy, which is a pain when we have to move stuff out, but we manage. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of the iron steaming and people chatting about their weekend plans. It’s a decent place to work, and we just keep plugging away at it, one day at a time, making sure things get sent out.
