The De Marche Apparels

We've been running The De Marche Apparels on Bharathi Street for a while now. It's tucked away in the Valipalayam Extension area. People usually just drop by when they need clothes made or fixed up. It's not a fancy shop, just a workspace where we get things done every day. There’s always piles of fabric around and the machines are usually running from morning till late. We don't have a big front office or anything like that. It’s mostly just us working through orders. Most of our neighbors know where we are, right near the corner of the street. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when a lot of stuff comes in at once. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the work just takes over the whole floor. It's just a regular local spot. We’ve stayed in this same building because it works for what we do. The lighting is okay and there’s enough room for the cutting tables. If you walk down Bharathi Street, you can't really miss the sound of the stitching. We don’t spend much time on the computer or doing paperwork, we’d rather be handling the materials. That’s how we’ve always done it here in Valipalayam. Just simple work and keeping the machines oiled. It's a busy little place but we like it that way. Usually, someone is around to answer the door if you knock, even if we look a bit tired from the heat of the afternoon.
