The Billion Clothing Pvt. Ltd.

We are over here at number 37 on 2nd Street in Bridgeway Colony Extension. It’s The Billion Clothing Pvt. Ltd. on the sign, but to us, it’s just the place where we spend our days. The shop floor is usually full of fabric and there is always the sound of machines running. It gets loud sometimes, especially in the middle of the day. We have quite a few people working here now. The street outside is usually quiet compared to the main road, which is nice. We spend a lot of time checking labels and folding things. It can be repetitive, but it’s what we do. The building itself is older, but it serves its purpose. We try to keep things moving so nothing sits for too long. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time turning around in the narrow street, but we manage. Most of us have been here for a long time, so we know how things work. There’s a small tea stall just down the road where we go for breaks. It’s just a standard garment unit, really. We don’t have a big front office or anything like that. Just the workspace and the tables where we get the items ready. It’s a steady rhythm day in and day out. We just focus on the orders we have on the clipboards. Sometimes we stay late when there is a lot to finish. The lighting inside is a bit bright, but it helps.
