We operate out of Sf. No. 572/ A in Kuttai Thottam, which is near the Sirupuluvapatty Post. It’s a bit out of the main city center, which makes it a little quieter than the middle of Tiruppur, though not by much. We make various types of apparel here in our small unit. The building is a basic structure, nothing that would win any awards, but it stays dry and keeps the sewing machines safe. My family has lived in this area for a long time. We decided to get into the garment business because that's what everyone does around here and it seemed like a good idea. We have a set of sewing machines and a long cutting table that takes up most of the room. Usually, there’s a lot of noise from the overhead fans and the chatter of the staff while they work. We don’t have a receptionist or a lobby. If you come by, you’ll likely just find me or one of the supervisors checking the latest batch of shirts. We handle mostly cotton goods since that’s what we know best. The road out here can get a bit muddy when it rains heavily, so deliveries can be a headache sometimes. We just focus on getting the stitches straight and the sizes right for the orders we get. No one here is interested in being a global brand. We just want to do the work.
