Suryaa Knit Apparels

The Suryaa Knit Apparels workshop is located at 374-b on Poombukar Kamaraj Road. If you’ve been to Tiruppur, you know it’s all about the garment work here. We have a modest space where we handle the knitting and basic assembly. It’s usually quite hot, so we keep the windows open and the big industrial fans running full speed. The sound of the machines is constant from morning until we close up at night. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting area; usually, if someone comes by, they just find us at the back working. Most of the day is spent checking the knits and making sure the measurements are right. Things can get a little messy with lint and scrap fabric everywhere, but we try to sweep up every evening. It’s hard work and your back usually aches by five o'clock, but that’s just part of it. We take our lunch breaks together, usually sitting on the stools near the loading area. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We just focus on the orders we have and try to get them finished on time. We’ve been at this address for a while and the locals know us. It’s just a straightforward place where we put in the hours and do the job as best as we can without complaining about the heat.
