Steps Exports

Steps Exports is located out on Dharapuram Road in the Perichipalayam area. If you drive down that way, you will see a lot of similar units. We have a modest space where we handle all our export work. It is mostly about checking the quality of the garments and getting them packed into the big boxes for shipping. Dharapuram Road is a main stretch, so there is always a lot of dust and noise from the trucks passing by. We don't mind it much. Our building is a plain structure, nothing fancy at all. Inside, it is mostly open space with long tables for folding and inspecting the clothes. We have a small corner for the paperwork and the computer. The weather around here gets really hot, especially in the middle of the day, so we have a few big ceiling fans that never seem to stop. We’ve been in Perichipalayam for a while, and we like that it is easy for the transport vehicles to pull in and load up. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist to greet you. It’s just us in our work clothes making sure the shipments are ready on time. It is a basic operation, but it keeps us busy and we like the routine of it. There is always a lot to do before the weekend comes around. We just focus on the clothes and getting them sent where they need to go. Every day is pretty much the same here.
