Sri Shashti Vel Textiles

Our place, Sri Shashti Vel Textiles, is tucked away at No. 4 2/28C in Thirumalai Nagar. It is on the 3rd Cross Street, right at the backside of PN Road. If you are near the Shanthi Theater, you just go behind it and you will find us. We deal with textiles and have been in this spot for a good bit of time. The building isn't anything special to look at, but it works for what we do. We spend our mornings checking the new rolls of cloth that come in. There is a lot of dust from the fabric, so we keep the fans running all day. Being near the theater means it gets a bit noisy in the evenings when the movies start, but we are usually wrapping up by then. It is a family thing, mostly. We have a few people from the neighborhood who come in to help with the packing and moving the heavy bundles. Sometimes the truck can’t get down the narrow street, so we have to carry things out to the main road. It’s hard work, especially when it’s hot outside. We don't do much advertising. People mostly find us by word of mouth or because they live nearby. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the bundles are tied tight. It’s just a normal day of work for us here in Tiruppur. We have been here for years.
