Sri Subam Textiles

You can find Sri Subam Textiles over at No. 37- A on Bharathidasan Street. We are in Sreenivasapuram, which is just off the Covai Main Road. Being near the main road is helpful for getting things moved around, though the traffic can be a real headache in the evenings. We’ve been running this textile business for a good few years now. The shop isn't anything special to look at, just a regular brick building with some stock inside. We spend our days measuring out cloth and making sure the counts are right. It’s a lot of counting and double-checking. We have a couple of guys who help with the heavy lifting and the deliveries. Most of our customers are locals or small traders who come in from the Covai Main Road. We don’t really use a computer for much besides the basics; we still keep a lot of our notes on paper. Sometimes we run out of a certain color and have to wait for the next shipment, which can be frustrating. But that’s just how it goes in the textile trade. We don't have any mission statements or fancy goals. We just want to finish the day’s work and make sure the bills are paid. It’s a basic operation and we like it that way. We just keep things moving as best as we can every day. It is just simple work in Sreenivasapuram.
