We’ve been sitting here on Gandhiji Road at number 49A/16 for a while now. Most people around here know the building. Sreemaha Deivajothi Chitfund Privatelimited isn't some big fancy corporation with glass walls and suits. It's just us in the office, handling the paperwork and talking to folks who come in to settle their accounts or join a new group. It gets busy in the mornings, especially when the sun starts getting hot and everyone wants to finish their errands early. We see the same faces every month. Sometimes someone brings in snacks or just stops by to ask how things are going while they pay their dues. The street outside is always noisy, but once you step inside, it’s mostly just the sound of the ceiling fan and someone counting out cash or writing in a ledger. We try to keep things organized, though sometimes the files stack up on the desk more than they should. It’s just part of how we run things. Being on Gandhiji Road makes it easy for everyone to find us. We don’t do big ads or anything like that. People just hear about us from their neighbors or relatives. It’s a small operation, really. Just a few desks, some chairs for people to sit while they wait, and the usual ledger books. We’ve stayed in this same spot because it works for the people who live around here. That’s pretty much how it’s always been.
